Tri-methy-la-minuria  (TMAU)  is rare genetic metabolic disorder that is characterized by pungent, volatile malodors in the sweat, breath and urine of affected men, women, and children of all races and ethnicities.  It appears that the disorder does not discriminate and there is not one place in the world without a citizen whose life has been challenged by TMAu.

The only way to determine if you have TMAu is to get tested. Testing fees are small compared to the social and psychological cost of not being diagnosed. There are five testing locations in the USA and one in the U.K.
